Knowing what online resources are available to you and how to access them is an important part of being a successful ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é summer student. To help protect your student information, please remember to keep all your ID numbers, login names, and passwords confidential.
As a student, you have two identification (ID) items:
- URID
- NetID (or Active Directory username)
URID
Your URID, also referred to as your student or University ID, is a unique 8-digit number generated and assigned to all users for whom the University and its affiliates wish to maintain identity information.
If you do not already have a URID, you will be assigned one during the course registration process. After submitting the non-matriculated student registration form online, the Registrar's Office will send a follow-up email with your URID number.
NetID
Your NetID, usually a combination of your first initial, your last name, and a number, is required to securely access a variety of online services at the ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é, such as:
- : University's student information system
- : University's learning management system
- : University's wireless network
Depending the system, your NetID can also be referred to as your Active Directory username. If you do not already have a NetID, you will be prompted to create one during the course registration process. After submitting the non-matriculated student registration form online, the Registrar's Office will send a follow-up email with NetID setup instructions.
