Summer Awards
The David T. Kearns Center for Leadership and Diversity is pleased to announce the continuation of its summer awards program to support and encourage undergraduates affiliated with the center in their desire to expand their academic endeavors. Award recipients can use these scholarships in several ways including but not limited to: taking additional courses, pursuing study abroad opportunities or working toward an internship. Each award specifies funding opportunities. Access the application to learn more about each award.
Applications
Applicants can apply for multiple awards; however, applicants will only receive one award (if selected). Applicants must submit a complete application by the deadline to be considered. Late applications will not be considered.
Timeline
Applications open December 1, 2024
Applications close January 15, 2025
Applicants notified by February 15, 2025
Applicant confirmation and submission of agreement by February 21, 2025
Awards
The Frohman Fund:
Up to $5,000 (1-2 awards will be granted)
Purpose: to participate in enrichment programs
Disclaimer: preference given to STEM majors/minors
The Goldstein Fund:
Up to $5,000 (2-3 awards will be granted)
Purpose: to fund summer courses
Disclaimer: preference given to rising seniors or seniors
The Sharpley-Whiting Fund:
Up to $1,000 (1-2 awards will be granted)
Purpose: to participate in experiential learning activities
Disclaimer: preference given to social science/humanities majors
The Toates Fund:
Up to $2,000 (1-2 awards will be granted)
Purpose: to participate in experiential learning activities
Disclaimer: preference given to students interested in international travel
The Minehan-Corrigan Fund:
Award Amount: TBA
Purpose: to engage in research activities
Disclaimer: preference given to social science/humanities majors
