Emerging Leaders Program
Mission Statement
The mission of the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is to facilitate the development of leadership skills, promote excellence, individuality and group cohesiveness among current and emerging leaders affiliated with the Office of Minority Student Affairs (OMSA) at the ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é. Through a series of structured workshops and seminars, participants will have opportunities to discuss important social, personal, multi-cultural and other current issues.
Program Goals
- Recognize emerging leaders affiliated with OMSA.
- Help emerging leaders to be self-aware and identify their leadership style.
- Broaden understanding of leadership on a college campus.
- Prepare emerging leaders to take on leadership roles and to promote involvement and inclusion within the broader university community.
- Foster a sense of community and help emerging leaders build their village and network.
- Provide emerging leaders with effective ways to identify, utilize, and leverage resources.
