At ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é:

  • Served as coach for three different sports-men's soccer from 1964-1969, assistant varsity coach for field events with men's track program from 1962-1969, and men's swimming and diving, a position he held for 28 years - from 1962-1990
  • His dual meet record was 168-107 and he won four straight New York State Championships from 1984-1987
  • During his career, 57 of his swimmers attained 118 All-American Honors
  • In 1988, he won the 25 year "Distinguished College Swimming Coach" award and in 1990 won the Master Coach award from the College Swim Coaches Association
  • Has been the technique coach for the United States Men's and Women's Olympic Swimming Teams for the past three Olympic games and will be again in 2008
  • Considered by members of the international swimming community to be the leading original thinker on swimming technique
  • Served as Faculty Representative to the All Campus Student Judicial Council, 1976-1980
  • Designed the Speegle-Wilbraham Aquatic Center, 1982
  • Associate Dean of Undergraduate Students for Judicial Affairs, 1990-1992
  • Associate Director of Athletics for Recreation and Wellness, 1992
  • University's Director of Recreation and Intramurals, 1970-1992
  • Director of University's Physical Education Program, 1975-1979
  • All-Greater ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é honors in high school as a soccer player
  • Inducted into ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é/Monroe County Sports Hall of Fame, 1989
  • Earned B.S. from Springfield College, 1961; and an M.Ed. from ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é, 1963
  • Passed away in January, 2022
