- Played football from 1960 (freshman team) through 1964
- Two-way starter for the freshmen
- Started on defense as a sophomore and played on offense as a guard and an end
- Two-way starter junior season, named game co-captain several times
- Team captain as a senior
- All-East Small College by the New York Tribune
- Team MVP as a senior
- Graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1966
Post-Graduate:
- Spent one year in the aerospace industry, then enlisted in the U.S. Army (Honor Graduate from Artillery Officer Candidate School)
- Served one year in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star
- Earned an M.B.A. from Columbia University in June, 1970
- Started his business career at Fleet Bank in Rhode Island, then moved to New York in 1976 and served as Chief Financial Officer for a major savings and loan institution
- From 1980-89, worked first with Citibank, then with Bankers Trust
- In 1989, started his own company in the Mortgage Financial area, that now has offices across the United States with headquarters on Wall Street
- Now serves as Chairman, President, and CEO of Hanover Capital Mortgage Holdings, Inc., listed on the American Stock Exchange
