- Played football and basketball with some of the University's strongest intercollegiate programs in the early years of World War II
- Played football for Dud DeGroot and Elmer Burnham
- Played basketball under Lou Alexander and was the sixth man for the unbeaten 1941-42 team (16-0)
- In February, 1943, he entered the Army Air Corps, served three years, and was a pilot with the 27th Troop Carrier Squadron service in China
- Finished his athletic career playing football for Burnham's 1946 team
- Freshman class officer
- President of Mendicants, 1942-43
- Member of Delta Upsilon, president as a senior
- Sang in Glee Club and was a member of the winning group at the Fred Waring National Contest in May, 1942
- Earned a B.A. in economics in January, 1947
Post-Graduate:
- Earned an MBA in marketing from the University of Michigan in January, 1948
- Joined Argus Cameras, Inc. in Ann Arbor, MI in February, 1947 as a marketing assistant. Served in several positions, rising to Vice President of Policy and Planning
- Moved to Fairchild Camera on Long Island in 1961, as general manager of 8mm. sound department
- Joined GAF Corporation (formerly ANSCO Photographic) in New York City and traveled extensively in the Far East
- Joined Fuji Photo Film USA in 1971 as General Manager Consolidated Products Division
- Retired in 1992 and moved to a retirement community near Phoenix, Arizona in 1994
- Passed away in September, 2008
