  • In soccer, he was the team's goalie for all 4 of his years
  • Had 2 shutouts his sophomore year and 5 in his senior year
  • Honorable Mention All-American as a senior
  • Earned 3 letters in basketball as a forward and guard
  • Presented with the Alcott Neary Award for being the most improved player as a junior
  • In his fifth year, coached the freshman basketball team and was an assistant for the soccer team
  • Battalion Commander of the ROTC unit
  • One of ten physics and optics graduates

Post-Graduate:

  • Served two years as an engineering officer in the US Navy
  • Played on the Amphibious Fleet Basketball Team that went 30-4 and made it to the Atlantic Fleet Championships
  • In 1979, founded the Brice Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer of commercial airplane components, and served as president until 1991
  • Retired in 1995 when Brice Manufacturing was sold to Ducommon, Inc.
  • Served on the board of the Aspen Valley Medical Foundation, The Hispanic Networking Council, the finance councils at St. Mary's Church and St. Francis Church, and the Trustees' Alumni Council of the College at UR
  • Guest teacher and principal at John Bowne High School in Flushing, NY
  • Published a book about mores, Virtue and Values for the Twenty-First Century-Renewing America's Character and Spirit
  • Married to Joan Dutcher Hoffman '55 and lived in Colorado and California
  • Passed away in February, 2016
