At ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é:

  • Played freshman football, then concentrated on track where he specialized in the 100-yard dash and high and low hurdles
  • Set records in both hurdle events and led the team in points scored as a junior and senior
  • Awarded the Gorton Trophy in both of those seasons

Post-Graduate:

  • Served almost six years in the military, culminating as Battalion Operations Officer in the Okinawa Campaign and later on special assignment in Korea in 1945
  • Spent 37 years with the ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é Midland Corporation, retiring in 1983 as a vice president
  • A room in Fauver Stadium was dedicated in the early 1980s as the Arthur T. Pammenter Room in memory of his father
