Dick Rice

At ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é:
- Played football, baseball, and even ran track on occasion
- Positions included receiver, running back, and defensive
- Was a favorite target of both UR and opposing quarterbacks (had 5 interceptions as a junior and led the team as a senior)
- Speedy center fielder in baseball who often stole home, he also hit above .300 and acted as co-captain for the 1965 team
- Ran track briefly until the baseball schedule became a problem
- Received the Louis A. Alexander Award given to "the ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é male athlete who has contributed most to athletics and student life" as a senior in 1965
- While finishing his degree at ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é, he worked as an assistant trainer in football, wrestling, indoor and outdoor track
Post-Graduate:
- Began playing squash in 1973 and between 1984 and today he has been ranked nationally
- In 1988, he was ranked #1 in the United States
- Called on to captain the US team against Canada and placed 2nd in World Championships in 2000
- Placed 3rd in the US Championships in 2003
- Has been a member of the board of many different organizations since 1980
