  • Graduated with Highest Distinction in History in 1942

Post-Graduate:

  • MBA With Distinction from the Harvard Business School in 1946
  • Joined the firm of Stein, Roe & Farnham, an investment counseling firm in Chicago, in 1946
  • Made a partner in 1954 and ultimately vice chairman
  • Retired in 1991
  • Served as a University Trustee from 1965-1981, now a Life Trustee
  • Has been the Chairman of the Chicago Alumni Club since the 1960s
