Students preparing for the next step in their career should also check out our professional development page.
Department Coordinators
Each department has a graduate coordinator on staff, who is a great point of contact for questions and concerns related to your department and academics. They can assist with questions about a degree's coursework, communicate with faculty and department chairs, as well as help connect students with support resources should they encounter any challenges.
See the coordinator page to find out who your department coordinator is.
Ombudspersons
An ombudsperson is a faculty member who can provide confidential, impartial, and independent advice to graduate students. The ombudspersons can provide information about institutional policies and act as facilitators to help students:
- Resolve their problems
- Connect with those who can help
The ombudsperson can also:
- Act as an informal mediator between the student and faculty or administrators
- Provide feedback on patterns of problems and complaints to appropriate administrators
See the ombuds page for more information.
