Academic Accommodations
Students with approved documentation are eligible to receive reasonable and appropriate accommodations determined on a case-by-case basis. These services may include, but are not limited to:
- Orientation to accessible routes on campus
- Alternative testing procedures (extended time, alternate location, computer use, etc.)
- Instructional materials in accessible formats
- Reading, writing, and notetaking software
- ASL interpreters, CART, assistive listening devices
Students are encouraged to request a notification of accommodations letter each semester; this letter is sent by Disability Resources to the instructors specified by students in the request. We recommend that students register with Disability Resources and formalize services, even if they may not be required during the semester. Circumstances may change, and this assures notification is set up in advance. Access coordinators are available to work with instructors and to provide disability-specific resources to better inform their work with students as needed.
