Why did you choose UR for graduate education?
I chose UR because of how collaborative and supportive everyone is. I was fortunate enough to spend a summer participating in a research program at UR. Despite the program lasting only 10 weeks, I learned techniques from various labs and faculty members who, though not my direct supervisors, were eager and open to teaching. Students across different labs were also open to exchanging ideas, creating an enriching academic atmosphere that I knew I couldn't find elsewhere.
What resources or services have you found most helpful at UR?
This might sound obvious, but the library has been one of the most helpful resources at UR for me, especially the dedicated space for graduate students. The library provided an environment conducive to focused study and work, and it was great to have the option of changing the scenery every so often.
What are your favorite spots on or off-campus in ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é?
I especially love spending time at Boulder Coffee. The coffee and food are great, and they offer board games so my friends and I can relax and play. They also have an open mic on certain nights, which is fantastic if you enjoy singing.
