Resident Advisor Selection
2025-2026
The Office for Residential Life and Housing Services is currently accepting applications for our Resident Advisor (RA) selection process. Applications will be accepted through Sunday, October 27, 2024, and will close at 11:59 p.m. Once the application closes, there are no exceptions to apply late.
Requirements and expectations:
- Class standing must be full-time and at least a sophomore by fall 2025
- Must be able to attend the RA class in person in the spring of 2025
- GPA must be at minimum 2.5
- Must prioritize academics first, RA position second, all other extracurricular activities and jobs third
- First to return to campus, last to leave
- Some limitations to time away from campus, live-in requirements
- Abide by and enforce all residential life and University policies
- Serve as a role model
- Must be enrolled in ÂÒÂ×Ç¿¼é classes and maintain satisfactory progress
- All outside work and activities are limited to 10 hours per week, subject to professional staff approval
- Must fulfill all general responsibilities of the position including community development framework
- Must maintain a clean conduct record

Meetings and Workshops
Meet and Greet:
Residential life offers a chance to meet and greet current RAs. This is not required for the application process. Still, it can be a great chance to socialize informally with the RAs and area coordinators and ask questions about the position, areas, application process, etc. There will be food and snacks at this event!

Information Sessions
Friday, October 18th, noon- 1:00 p.m. Join Residential Life and Housing Services members to learn more about the RA position, the application process, and the Department of Residential Life.
